Celebrating Women at Cirdan: Three Inspiring Stories for International Women’s Day 2026
Each year, International Women’s Day invites us to pause, reflect, and celebrate the women whose contributions shape our workplaces, industries, and communities. It is a day that reminds us of the power of representation, the impact of inclusion, and the importance of amplifying women’s voices in every space, including our own.
This year at Cirdan, we have used International Women’s Day to spotlight three remarkable women who make a daily difference across our organisation. Their roles and strengths are diverse, and each of them bring a wealth of talent to Cirdan which contributes towards our success every day.
Before International Women’s Day this Sunday 8th March, we want to highlight their stories, honouring the leadership, resilience, and creativity they embody.
Laura Henry, Head of Finance: Leading with Vision and Integrity
As Head of Finance, Laura plays a pivotal role in steering the company through an ever-evolving financial landscape. Her work ensures clarity, stability, and direction, touching every part of the business behind the scenes.
But beyond the numbers, Laura brings a leadership style grounded in openness and collaboration. She encourages challenges, welcomes ideas, and sets the tone for trust within her team.
Her message to women in the workplace: “Believe in yourself even before you feel 100% ready. So often, women wait until they feel completely prepared before stepping forward. Say yes, take the opportunity, and trust that you will figure it out. Most importantly, lead authentically. You don’t need to emulate someone else’s style to be effective. Your perspective and approach are valuable!”
Her journey is a powerful reminder that confidence grows from owning your expertise.
Pauline McCabe, Office Manager: The Heart of Everyday Operations
Every workplace has someone who keeps the wheels turning. For Cirdan, that person is Pauline, our Office Manager. Her work spans coordination, culture-building, problem-solving, and supporting teams across the entire organisation.
Whether smoothing logistical challenges or creating an environment where people feel welcome and supported, Pauline operates with a blend of kindness, agility, and quiet strength that makes a visible impact daily.
Her advice: ‘Don’t be afraid to ask for advice, make mistakes or say you don’t know something. It’s good to learn new things and step out of your comfort zone’.
Her story highlights the importance of emotional intelligence, initiative, and community in creating a workplace where people can thrive.
Megan Kinkead, UX Team Lead: Designing with Empathy and Purpose
Creativity meets functionality in the work of Megan, Cirdan’s UX Team Lead. She guides her team in designing user experiences that are intuitive, inclusive, and grounded in real human behaviour.
Her approach champions curiosity, encouraging her team to question, iterate, and build solutions that genuinely help people. As a woman in tech leadership, she also plays a vital role in making the field more accessible and welcoming.
Her message: “Trust in yourself and your abilities. Don’t be afraid to give things a try. You have a voice and ideas worth listening to, so don’t be afraid to speak up!”
Her leadership represents the future of tech where diverse voices shape better, more meaningful digital experiences.
Though each of these women works in a different part of Cirdan, their stories share common themes: dedication, growth, and the courage to lead in their own way.
Together, they show what inclusion looks like in action, they demonstrate the strength of women shaping our company, and they remind us why International Women’s Day matters.
We’re proud to celebrate not only these three colleagues, but all the women who contribute to our success, culture, and innovation every day.
International Women’s Day is not just a date on the calendar. It is a call to create workplaces where women are supported, heard, represented, and empowered.
Thank you to the women who move us forward, this International Women’s Day and every day!
